My story

It is as if flowers have always been part of my life. Living next to the local flower shop, I was always mesmerized by their colours and shapes. As long as I remember I loved being outdoors and visiting my grandparents’ gardens, full of blossoming flowers and veggies.

In 2010 I started “Katrien Soeffers Prints and Drawings” after many years in fashion production and interior design management. Drawing, painting, working with colour, travelling and meeting new people has always made me happy, so it was only logical for this to be the core of my business.

In my collections you’ll find charcoal, pencil, oil pastel and watercolour. My approach is very hands-on, I make collages, use different techniques and even though all patterns are digitalised, I keep a close eye as not to lose the hand-made character. My style is quite feminine, often inspired by nature – and of course, flowers! I combine graphical elements with a creative and artistic feel. From my days in production, I’ve kept my interest in technical details which is an advantage when working with design teams.

In the past, I participated at many international fairs, from which I gathered a worldwide clientele. This has allowed me to focus on a more personal and exclusive approach with clients.
